Protect the Athlete

Safety Guidelines

Our commitment to athlete development goes hand in hand with their safety, well-being, and character. Here's how we protect every quarterback in the QB Room.

Our Pledge to Every Athlete

At RLG Elite QB Academy, we believe that developing elite quarterbacks means developing elite people. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and growth-focused environment where every athlete — regardless of age, skill level, or background — can reach their full potential. Safety, character, and well-being are not add-ons; they are the foundation of everything we do.

01 // Safety Protocols

Safety First, Always

Adequate warm-up and dynamic stretching are mandatory before any drill work begins.
Hydration breaks are built into every session — athletes are encouraged to drink water at any time, not just during scheduled breaks.
Sessions are modified or moved indoors during extreme heat, lightning, or severe weather. No session proceeds if conditions are unsafe.
02 // Code of Conduct

The QB Room Standard

Respect for coaches, peers, officials, and the game itself is non-negotiable. Disrespectful behavior results in immediate dismissal from the session.
Bullying, taunting, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated — this is a development-first environment.
Athletes are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and focused. Tardiness affects the entire group.
Cell phones are put away during training. Full engagement is required — this is a no-distraction zone.
Effort over ego. Every athlete gives maximum effort on every rep, regardless of skill level.
Parents and spectators are asked to observe from designated areas and allow coaching to proceed without interruption.
03 // Athlete Well-Being

Commitment to Development

Each athlete receives an individualized improvement plan tailored to their skill level, goals, and physical development stage.
We train the whole quarterback — mechanics, mental preparation, leadership, and character — not just throwing.
Age-appropriate training: drills and expectations are scaled for grades 4-12. We never push an athlete beyond their physical or emotional readiness.
Open communication: athletes and parents are encouraged to share concerns, injuries, or anxiety at any time. No question is too small.
Mental health matters. If an athlete is struggling — physically, emotionally, or academically — Coach Green is available to discuss adjustments.
Progress is measured and celebrated. We track development over time so athletes see their growth and stay motivated.
04 // Injury & Emergency

Injury Response Protocol

Any injury, no matter how minor, is reported to Coach Green immediately. Athletes should never 'play through' pain.
In the event of a suspected head injury or concussion, the athlete is removed from activity immediately and may not return without medical clearance.
Parents are contacted immediately for any injury requiring more than basic first aid.
Emergency contacts and medical information are collected at registration and kept on file for every athlete.
In the rare event of a medical emergency, 911 is called first, then the parent/guardian is notified.
05 // Training Load Management

Smart Development

Throw volume is monitored and capped per session to protect developing arms — especially for younger athletes (grades 4-8).
Rest and recovery are built into every session plan. Overtraining is counterproductive and we actively prevent it.
Athletes are educated on proper sleep, nutrition, and recovery habits as part of the curriculum.
Sessions are designed to challenge without overwhelming — we build confidence through progressive, achievable milestones.
Feedback is constructive and specific. We never use shame or embarrassment as a coaching tool.
